The Team

Manager Special Projects
Chris Jordan is a professional engineer with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Transportation Engineering from the University of Alberta.  Chris has been with The City of Calgary for eight years and prior to joining Calgary Transit worked in Transportation Planning and the Transportation General Manager’s office. Chris’ regular job consists of coordinating functional planning projects and ensuring contractors and consultants understand Calgary Transit’s customer service and operational/maintenance requirements. His route of choice was the 201, but now that he has joined the team, he will be riding the 72/73. Outside of work Chris is a proud parent, swim official and (slow) runner!
Andrea
Service Design Analyst
Andrea Adams has worked at Transit for seven years in Calgary and Victoria, B.C. Most of that time she has been in human resources, but she’s so passionate about transit that she took a new position within the transit business last year. Andrea believes in the social and environmental contributions that transit makes to communities.  She frequently rides the bus to work and has used public transit as far away as Bangkok. Outside work she hikes in the summer, tours the back-country in the winter and bikes when she can.
Karen Alm
Strategic Planner
Karen Alm is a professional engineer, having completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary and is very excited to be a part of the RouteAhead team. In 2010 Karen joined Calgary Transit as the Executive Assistant to the Director. Prior to joining Calgary Transit, Karen worked in Traffic Assessment, Traffic Signals, Roads Design and Transportation Optimization in the Transportation Department at The City of Calgary. Karen’s route to/from work on transit is the CTrain and the 72/73 but her favourite transit route is to the beach in Honolulu. Outside work she enjoys camping in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Jon

             Senior Transit Planner

Jonathan Lea is an urban planner who likes to explore urban places using public transit. His fascination with transit began many years ago while riding the electric trolleys on Weston Road in Toronto. He believes that transit plays an important role in making communities efficient and enjoyable places to live. Jonathan began his career in transit on the streets, working as a community shuttle operator and has held positions in transit planning and the office of the director of Calgary Transit. He can be spotted riding routes 4, 5 and 69 or his bicycle. Jonathan’s favourite international transit route is línea L3 in Barcelona (“Proxima estación: Paral•lel”).
Theresa
Communication Strategist
Theresa Schroder has worked at Calgary Transit for almost four years doing both internal and external communications.
